If you have a Platinum American Express issued by American Express go online to your account – travelling sections > Platinum Travelling > Platinum Service. Over there search for the directory of benefits > Elite Memberships and just make a click, you´ll find lots of unknown 100 % free of charge complimentary benefits. Remember that each county / region has different free amenities. If you can´t find those options just call Amex Concierge to help you out.

Usually you may find the following list of free subscriptions:

100 % free subscription for 3 years to Priority Pass (access free to airport lounges all around the world). The Prestige Membership (the one that Amex Platinum gives for free) is an average (depending in the country of residence) about U$S 399 per year.

Free Platinum status for Accor Hotels in there miles program (Le Club AccorHotels) even so you never had an account there. Benefits: late check out, free room upgrade (according to ability) and complementary welcome gifts and beverages. Benefits: early check-in and late check out, free internet access and 50 % more points in each stay and free room upgrade (according to ability). Hotels: Radisson – Country Inss & Suites – Park inn by Radisson – Park Plaza.

Free Starwood Preferred Guest Gold Status (for Starwood Hotel) even so you never had an account there. Benefits: late check out, welcome gift, 50 % more Starwood points than a Standard Member per stay and free room upgrade (according to ability). Hotels: Le Meridien – Aloft – Four Points – Westin – The Luxury Collection – W Hotels – Sheraton – St. Regis – Element.

Hertz Car Rental, Gold Status in their Hertz #1Club even so you never had an account there. Benefits: free car category upgrade (according to ability), preference service (Fast-track), 15 % off in the best rates and 25 % off in rent of the Prestige Collection.

But what they don´t tell you about this programs is that if you make a booking through a third party agency as for example booking.com the benefits that you have you may not use them. That usually happens in Starwood Hotels. So check before making your booking what is it more convenient: the special rates that you may get for being a beneficiary of those programs or if you get a better rate and room in a third party agency.
